Stretch Hollow — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Zebra Finch Games LLC ("Zebra Finch Games," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Stretch Hollow iOS app (the "App"). It supplements, and does not replace, the site-wide Privacy Policy covering zebrafinchgames.com.
Summary
Stretch Hollow does not require an account, display advertisements, or track you across other companies' apps or websites. Your garden, routine progress, custom routines, preferences, and reminder settings are stored locally on your device. We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand coarse feature usage and keep the App reliable. Analytics and diagnostics do not include the exercises in a custom routine, symptoms, diagnoses, injuries, or other medical information. You can choose to send us written feedback, but we do not ask you to include health or medical information in it.
Information handled by the App
Information stored on your device
The App stores your garden state, plant growth, routine completions and dates, streak information, custom routines, preferences, reminders, and purchase status on your device. This information is used to provide the App's features. Zebra Finch Games does not operate an account or cloud-sync system for Stretch Hollow and does not receive this local content. It may be included in device backups managed by Apple, depending on your iCloud and device-backup settings.
Usage and fitness data
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect coarse information about how the App is used. This can include screens viewed; routine category, selected duration, routine type, planned duration, and move count; whether a routine was started, resumed, exited, or completed; whether a plant grew; custom routine slot number and size; reminder status; and interactions with the one-time purchase screen. Apple classifies some of these routine signals as fitness and exercise data.
Analytics does not include exercise names or IDs, the contents or name of a custom routine, symptoms, injuries, diagnoses, other health information, exact practice dates, free text, your name, email address, Apple Account, or App Store transaction payload. We use this data only to evaluate existing features, plan improvements, and understand aggregate use of the App. It is not used for advertising.
Device and diagnostic data
Firebase assigns an app-instance identifier and may process technical information such as device model, operating-system and App versions, language, general region derived from network information, app launches, and engagement. Firebase Crashlytics collects crash logs, stack traces, and limited diagnostic context when the App stops unexpectedly or encounters an error. Diagnostic context may identify the current screen and broad routine category or duration, but does not include custom-routine content, exercise names, symptoms, diagnoses, or free text. We use this information to maintain and improve the App.
Remote configuration
We use Firebase Remote Config to retrieve minimum and recommended App versions and the App Store update link. This lets us gently recommend an update or, when an obsolete release can no longer operate safely, require an update. Remote Config may receive the same basic app-instance and technical request information used by Firebase services.
Purchases
Stretch Hollow offers a single optional one-time purchase that permanently unlocks additional routines and custom-routine slots. It is not a subscription; there is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel. Apple processes the payment through the App Store. We do not receive your name, Apple Account email, payment-card details, or other payment information.
The App reads Apple's signed transaction result to determine whether the unlock is owned, restored, refunded, or revoked. It stores a last-known purchase state and a randomly generated purchase token on your device so access can continue offline and a future purchase-verification service could match the transaction to this installation without knowing your identity. Firebase Analytics may receive Apple's standard in-app purchase event, including the product identifier, price, and storefront currency.
Feedback and support requests
If you use the in-app feedback form, we receive the feedback category, written message, submission time, App version, build number, and platform. If you report a problem and choose to include technical details, we also receive limited diagnostic information such as the current screen, device model, operating-system and WebView versions, whether the device is online, startup timing, and recent app-state steps. The form does not ask for or automatically include your name, email address, or other contact information, so we cannot reply to submissions made through it.
A feedback submission is saved temporarily in a bounded outbox on your device before delivery. If you are offline, it remains there until the App can deliver it through Firebase Cloud Firestore. The local outbox copy is removed after successful delivery. We use submitted feedback to evaluate suggestions, plan improvements, and diagnose problems.
If you would like a response, you can email us directly at contact@zebrafinchgames.com. We receive your email address, message, and any other information you choose to provide. We use it to respond to your request and keep a reasonable record of the conversation. Please do not include sensitive health or medical information in either channel.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require an account, sign-in, or social login.
- We do not access HealthKit, the Motion & Fitness API, your precise location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
- We do not ask for or intentionally collect symptoms, diagnoses, injuries, or other medical information. Please do not include this information in feedback or support messages.
- We do not use the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
- We do not display third-party advertising.
- We do not sell or rent information or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Installations, Remote Config, and Cloud Firestore, operated by Google LLC, for aggregate measurement, diagnostics, version configuration, and storage of in-app feedback submissions. Google processes information handled by these services under its own privacy and security commitments. We do not configure these services for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Apple Inc. provides StoreKit and processes the App's one-time purchase. Apple's handling of purchase and device information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Data retention
Information stored only on your device remains there until you reset it in the App, clear the App's data, or delete the App, subject to any backups maintained by Apple. Analytics and diagnostic information is retained according to our Firebase settings and Google's applicable retention periods. Submitted feedback is retained for as long as reasonably needed to review it, plan improvements, diagnose problems, and maintain business records. A pending feedback copy remains on your device until it is successfully delivered, you clear the App's local data, or you delete the App. Email correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and maintain business records. Apple independently retains App Store purchase history under its own policies.
Your choices and rights
You can reset locally stored garden and routine data from the App's settings or remove the App from your device. Firebase analytics and diagnostic data is associated with a pseudonymous app-instance identifier rather than an account, so we may need information from your device to locate a specific record. In-app feedback uses a random submission identifier and does not include a user account or contact information. We may therefore need the approximate submission time and content to locate a particular message. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold. Contact us to make a request and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Children's privacy
Stretch Hollow does not contain advertising, publicly displayed user-generated content, or an account system. The optional one-time purchase is processed by Apple and is subject to Apple's purchase controls, including Ask to Buy and Screen Time restrictions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this site when appropriate.
